Wilson, North Carolina
Wilson Ballpark represents a new chapter for professional baseball in Wilson, North Carolina, bringing the Wilson Warbirds, the Single-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, into the heart of the city’s historic downtown.
Designed by Pendulum, the ballpark was envisioned as more than a destination for game day. Its open concourses, shared gathering spaces, and strong visual connections to the surrounding streets create a venue that feels woven into Wilson rather than separated from it. The result is a right-sized ballpark built around intimacy, accessibility, and the energy of a community coming together.
At the center of the design is a simple idea: a ballpark’s impact should extend beyond the field. Wilson Ballpark serves as an anchor within a larger downtown transformation, creating new opportunities for activity, development, and connection while reinforcing the character of the city around it. The venue is designed to support not only professional baseball, but also community events, entertainment, and everyday experiences that keep the district active beyond the season.
The project reflects Pendulum’s approach to sports and entertainment design: thoughtful scale, purposeful planning, and an emphasis on creating memorable experiences without losing sight of long-term value. Every decision was considered through the lens of how the ballpark could best serve the team, its fans, and Wilson itself.
Opening in 2026, Wilson Ballpark welcomed professional baseball back to Wilson and established a new gathering place downtown. It is a ballpark shaped by its surroundings, designed for the people who use it, and built to become part of the city’s next chapter.
