Schumacher Residence
A three bedroom single family home its owners call their forever home.
The owners lost their previous house on this site to a fire. The pool and the detached automotive workshop survived, and the new house had to be built around what remained.
With extended family at the center of the owners' lives, the design revolves around open space with views out toward nature, and gathering space for formal and casual dining and general entertainment.
The couple run a thriving automotive customization business, so the house carries space for six vehicles across two separate levels, with one bay designed to accommodate a vertical lift for servicing. Storage and workshop are program here, not afterthought.
