Kansas City, Missouri. A rooftop hospitality building on the uppermost floor of the Cosentino's Market parking garage at 14th and Main, beside Jones Pool.
The program is small: four water closets, three urinals, six lavatories, a drinking fountain and a storage area.
Its value is the second shift. During the work week it lets the City serve patrons who want to eat lunch or walk and enjoy the sun. In the evenings and at weekends the same rooftop hosts wedding receptions and civic events for up to 600 patrons.
The City required a conventional brick and mortar delivery method. Pendulum's read afterwards was that, given the right circumstances, a prefabricated off grid method would put an identical building up for roughly half the budget in half the construction time.
