3Minc’s designs have fast-forwarded us to the future while drawing on inspiration of the colors and patterns of 1960s counterculture the US. 3Minc asks us to sit back, relax, and flourish.
Pendulum looks ahead - we see opportunities to mix color, light and reflective materials to create the illusion of looking into the future and seeing whatever the eye beholds.
INSPIRATION IMAGES
ALL THE JUICE
All the Juice is a multi-dimensional psychedelic trip: an ever-changing cadence of projected images, colors, and lights fills the background and is reflected and distorted in every direction. The interior is fully covered in reflective mirror material which makes this space not only stand out but lure in onlookers to dive in and feel what 3Minc is all about. We envision this tableau will simultaneously highlight 3Minc’s designs and serve as a thoughtful art installation in and of itself.
The tableau “set" is designed to be slightly elevated off the street to create the illusion of floating or hovering in space and time. The hexagonal pedestals on which the models will stand are also covered in reflective material and lit such that they appear to be floating. Additionally, Pendulum added several cut-outs in our standard hexagonal shape on the side and back vertical walls to serve as photo-ops and create intrigue for passers-by, allowing onlookers plenty of new perspectives.
